Adventure Camp Policies & Agreement

Behavior Policy:

Adventure Camp is a high-energy, structured environment with high expectations for behavior. Campers are expected to show respect toward counselors, staff, and peers at all times.

If a camper is not meeting these expectations, staff will provide guidance and redirection to support improved behavior. If challenges continue, guardians will be contacted and may be required to pick up their child early. Ongoing or repeated misbehavior, especially behavior that disrupts the group or compromises safety, may result in dismissal from the remainder of the camp session.

Any form of physical aggression—including fighting, hitting, or intentional harm toward others—will result in immediate removal from camp for the rest of the session.

All behavior-related incidents and disciplinary decisions are at the discretion of the Family Programs Director. Refunds will not be issued for campers who are unable to meet these expectations and are dismissed from the program.

We are committed to creating a safe, encouraging environment for all campers and appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these expectations.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Policy:

At drop-off and pick-up, all parents/guardians must walk their child to the camp check-in/check-out area and sign their name next to their child’s name on the daily registration sheet.

Each camper will be given an Adventure Camp t-shirt, which must be worn at all times during camp except during swimming activities.

If someone other than the person who dropped off the camper will be picking them up, written notification is required in advance. Anyone picking up a child must show a valid photo ID.

Field Trips:Parents are not allowed to pick up or drop off campers during field trips. Adventure Camp goes on field trips several times a week, either within walking distance or via bus transportation.

Each camper is assigned to a group with a designated counselor. Campers are responsible for their own belongings and any money they bring. Counselors do not hold money.

Late Policy:The first instance of being late to pick up a child will result in a verbal warning. After that, a $1 per minute late fee will be charged. Continued late pickups and unpaid fees may result in suspension.

Photo Release:

The Pacific Campus can use photos of my child in advertising, brochures, newsletters, social media, and on the website. Photos may be taken by marketing staff, camp counselors, or the Family Programs Director.

Liability Waiver:

The Pacific Campus is not liable for any injuries incurred during camp activities or from the use of its equipment or facilities. The Pacific Campus is also not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

I waive and release any rights, on behalf of myself, my heirs, and the participant, against The Pacific Campus and its representatives for any injuries sustained during camp participation.

Medical Waiver:

In case of emergency, if we cannot be reached, I give permission to The Pacific Campus to take necessary action for my child's safety. This does not make The Pacific Campus financially or otherwise liable for any medical care provided.

I also authorize my child to participate in all camp activities and be transported to off-site field trips.

Refund Policy:

I understand that The Pacific Campus has a no-refund and no-switching days policy. If my child misses camp on a purchased day, I forfeit the funds for that day.

Snack Purchase Policy:

My child will have two opportunities to eat snacks they bring, in addition to lunch. During Splashdown Cove (June–August), they may purchase food from the restaurant.

Children are not permitted to purchase from the service desk during camp. Nut products are not allowed. If brought, they will not be consumed.

Cell Phones and Personal Devices:

Cell phones and personal devices (including smartwatches) are for emergencies only. Campers may use the facility phone with permission.

If a device is used during camp, the camper will be asked to put it away. A second occurrence will result in the device being held until pickup and a guardian being notified.

If photos are taken during camp, the device will be secured and the guardian will be asked to delete the photos at pickup.

Sick Children:

Sick children are not allowed at camp. If your child has symptoms such as a fever of 100.4 or higher, coughing, rash, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, or eye discharge, please keep them home.

Staff may require pickup if a child becomes sick during camp.

Hygiene Policy:

Parents and caregivers must ensure children practice good hygiene before arriving. This includes clean clothing, proper handwashing, and covering coughs and sneezes.

Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility. We appreciate your help in maintaining a healthy environment.
