We provide four different American Red Cross certification courses throughout the year, available to both PC members and the local community. These empower individuals with life-saving skills, boost career readiness, and foster confidence in emergencies.

CPR/First Aid/ AED Certification, Babysitting Course, Lifeguard Certification Courses, and Lifeguard Recertification in Kennewick.

CPR/First Aid/ AED Training
This blended learning course combines online training with an in-person skills session to certify you in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. You’ll learn how to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants.
The course meets OSHA and other workplace regulatory requirements.
The online portion can be completed on your own time (via phone, tablet, or desktop) and must be finished before the in-person class.
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a 2-year digital certificate issued by the American Red Cross.

Babysitting Course
This in-person course prepares youth to care for children and infants safely and confidently. It includes hands-on activities, videos, and discussions to develop essential, real-life readiness and babysitting skills. The course covers feeding, diapering, picking up and holding children, safety, and emergency response. The American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED r.21 program is designed to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac and breathing emergencies, and to provide the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill infant or child when minutes matter.

Lifeguard Certification Course
This 40-hour course teaches the skills to become a certified American Red Cross lifeguard. It covers the duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard and how to carry them out in a professional manner. It covers rescues, first aid, CPR / AED, and practical skills.

Lifeguard Recertification Course
This course will review materials and skills needed to renew an existing American Red Cross lifeguard certification. Participants must pass a standardized swim test, attend a review class, complete written exams, and in-water skills testing.
