Swim Lesson Director

Full-Time

Compensation: $41,600 - $50,000/year

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Swim Lessons Director to lead and inspire our swim lesson programs. In this pivotal role, you will oversee, train, and manage programs and instructors for participants of all ages and skill levels. Your leadership will ensure a safe, engaging, and effective learning environment that promotes water safety, skill mastery, and confidence. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching swimming, strong team leadership skills, and a self motivated person. Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of swim instructors to deliver high-quality instruction.
Conduct regular training sessions for staff on water safety procedures, behavior management, and instructional techniques.
Conduct quarterly staff evaluations to ensure consistency amount all instructors
Oversee novice and competitive swim programs
Teach lessons periodically when training new instructors or covering when necessary
Develop and execute new comprehensive swim lesson curriculum tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring progressive skill development.
Schedule classes efficiently to maximize participation while maintaining optimal instructor-to-student ratios.
Manage both group and private instructor schedules
Become familiar with software and billing program
Enroll and unenroll students each month
Foster positive relationships with clients by providing clear communication about program offerings, progress reports, and safety guidelines.
Coordinate with facility management to ensure all equipment is maintained and that the aquatic environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in swimming, ability to swim all 4 strokes proficiently
Demonstrated leadership skills- managing teams of instructors or coaches
Experience working with children and understanding behavior management strategies to create a positive learning atmosphere.
Background in teaching swim lessons/coaching swim team
Excellent communication skills for client engagement and staff supervision
Strong organization skills and ability to use technology
